2 of these sections are dedicated to people who were very dear to me both of which I lost to cancer, one leaving me the day before the anniversary of the other's death: Mark Lenard and Dusty Jones. Dusty and I worked for Mark in the 8 years before his death, and we both shared many memories. She and I were best friends for over 16 years, and it was our mutual affection and fascination for these characters that 1st brought us together. They were to remain an integral part of our friendship, 2 distant and beloved friends who we gossiped and chatted about constantly. She would say that all she ever wanted in life was to be able to tell these stories, but life, and a very Virgo need for perfection kept on interferring.
Dusty spent the better part of her life writing and rewriting what would have been a huge work, spanning Sarek and Amanda's entire lives, A Most Distant Blood, under her pen name, L.L. MacLeod. (Dusty's real name was Lauren Lee and she loved that gaudy MacLeod plaid.) She left a massive amount of work to be pieced together, a task I am eventually going to try to make a go of. It won't be the same, and although I knew much of the story, there are things that I found that she hinted at but never wrote down. Things that are now lost, saved as they were, only in her memory.
And though I always consider my self primarily an artist, I do write a little, so you will also find links to my poetry and (very) short stories, as well as some of my art and my large image library.

And you won't find any character bios here! As far as I am concerned the only "canon" that I can be sure is true is that information included in Journey to Babel and Yesteryear. The movies, I could handle all but STV, which was a bunch of nonsense as far as I was concerned, if for no other reason than a high-risk pregnancy being delivered in a cave. Once that travesty was visited upon me, the movies well, I didn't need to try and rationalize them any more after that. TNG was the evil alternative universe as far as I am concerned and none of the pro-novels is worthy of making it to my list, including SAREK, which had precious little to do with Sarek to begin with. My Amanda lives to a very ripe old age, well over one hundred and once she does pass on, Sarek does not survive her long.
I tell people, let their hearts guide them in what they write and draw! Don't feel you have to limit yourself to a "canon" that only contradicts itself anyway. You don't need to rationalize or abandon your ideas to fit into someone else's. Be true to your heart and most of all-have fun!
